Vision of HHP
"Though the fig tree may not blossom, nor fruit be on the
vine, though the labor of the olive may fail, the fields
yield no food; though the flock may be cut off from the
fold, and there be no herd in the stalls. Yet I will will
rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.
The Lord God is my strength; He will make my feet like
hind's feet. And he will make me walk on my high places."
-----Habakkuk 3:17-19
Located
in the undisturbed wilderness of western North Carolina in the small
community of Elk Park, there is a serene waterfall
surrounded by 30 acres of land that will be the home of His
High Places. The ministry will inhabit about 16 acres of the
land with guest lodging, administrative offices, and a
central lodge for guest meals, fellowship, and conferences.
The remainder of the land will include the home of the
McMillans, as well as community homes for HHP alumni,
friends, and contributors who have purchased land. These
communities will be homes that are selected by the property
owner. Two suggestions are
Chariot Park
Model Homes for 1/2 acre lots and
Logangate Homes
for the 1 acre lots. Another possibility that
would work well not to disturb the surrounding landscape
would be log homes. There are a number of home builders in
this area. If you are interested in learning more about
visiting the future home of HHP or possibly purchasing a
property site,

Ever dreamed of owning a place in the mountains? A small
number of home sites, 1/2 or 1 acre, are available for
purchase surrounding the 16 acre HHP site. 1/2 acre lots
range from $22,000 to $27,000. 1 acre lots, all of which
have either a stream or long range views, range from $35,000
to $45,000. There will be an excellent "rent back" program,
still leaving you plenty of time to use your home (up to
5 weeks a year and most weekends). There will be an "A" frame
park model section on the 1/2 acre lots. The 1 acre lots
will accommodate most styles (no mobile homes, please;
however, modular homes would be appropriate.) A style, or
architectural committee will review the plans for approval.
Underground utilities, an area for horses, and 2 tennis
courts will enhance your property values. Hiking trails
abound along with picnic facilities beside the waterfall.
Sam loves to lead tours of the property providing a vision
of HHP ministry planning, and he would love to help you
picture the perfect home site in the mountains!
