We
specialize in crossroads and crisis counseling.
Our
ministry is designed to take life and relationships to higher and
God ordained heights as well as repairing and healing severe
woundedness and brokenness, through Christian counseling,
restoration and spiritual redirection. We offer time tested
spiritual healing through such Elijah House concepts as spiritual
imprisonment and slumbering spirit along with HHP developed concepts
that lead to real and permanent healing and inner peace. The many
areas that we have seen healing include sexual immorality,
depression, burn out, and infidelity. Our Christian counseling,
restoration and spiritual redirection services have a broad range of
techniques that make us uniquely qualified to minister to those
looking for spiritual enlightenment as well as those who are at a
serious impasse and need the miraculous healing that is required for
reconciliation and repairing of relationships. We have over twenty
years of successful Christian counseling, restoration and spiritual
redirection experience and have participated in repairing the breach
in over 2,000 clients. The majority of those who have come to His
High Places are living in victory and still walking out the
breakthrough they experienced here.
Set in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North
Carolina, His High Places (HHP) was organized
in July of 1980 by Sam and Anita McMillan. His High Places is a
non-profit Christian ministry. Our approach is Christ and
Scripture-centered. The principles apply interdenominationally. The
McMillan's are both licensed professional counselors and charter
members of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC).

We provide
Christ-centered spiritual direction to individuals and couples, and
we specialize in pastoral care. A typical stay includes 5 nights and
6 days with twice-daily sessions for diagnostic listening, teaching,
worship, and deep prayer to address root issues. There are also
assignments in specific books, audio and video tapes, guided
recreation, good food, unstructured "reflection time" and lots of
prayer. Out of this balanced approach the Holy Spirit is free to
minister what is needed and direct us in a "game plan" for a changed
life back home.
